Testing The Jennifer Lopez 70-Piece Inglot Cosmetics Makeup Collection | Harper’s BAZAAR

Contact us to Add Your Business

It's hard to believe that it took until 2018 for Jennifer Lopez to get her own makeup line. Jennifer Lopez for Inglot Cosmetics, the very first makeup line by JLO, officially drops April 26—and it's massive. We'd expect nothing less than larger-than-life from JLO, but she's entering the beauty game with an eye-popping 70 products. There are lipsticks in matte and satin finishes, eyeshadows (both loose and pressed), eyelashes, mascara, and multiple highlighters. There are bronzers in every shade you could ever need, as well as multiple nail polishes and lip gloss.

Im sorry, this review was horrible. You guys had the opportunity to show us swatches, up-close application, with detailed descriptions, but instead we got…this, with camera shots that are more suitable for a group interview. There was about 5 close-ups in all, for a 70 piece collection.

This had the potential to be such an informative video. But instead we got opinions like: 4:32 you wish that it had more shimmer so it would be similar to NARS Orgasm… 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🤨What? Why? Why would inglot x jlo want to create a dupe of another product? If i wanted a highend blush that looked like NARS Orgasm, I’d buy NARS Orgasm 🤷🏽‍♀️

That is one of my biggest pet peeves with people reviewing products. We get it. You don’t know how to pronounce things. That is why you look at the names of products first to see if you don’t know the word. Then you go to a little thing called GOOGLE and look it up! How difficult is that???

Leddy FM not to mention the mispronounced “Ethereal” and the misuse of the word embossed. So… not a mua, I understand but as an editor, I would think one would use words correctly.

This was a bit annoying to watch, her hair is on her face, no real swatches or close-ups. It would be really nice if a professional would do a look on JLo, something like Kim and Mario do.

Ah…i gotta say…i was kinda surprised myself too…she seems like a nice gal…but i actually looked on the comments section to see if i was the only one…i dunno…seems like if ur gonna get someone to review the JLo make up?she shud kinda go for it, u kno? Well im only 5 min in and i thot the same…lets see what the rest holds… But that Michelle is entitled to her opinion. And…she was askin a question…not askin if u agreed with her…AND…we all do what u all are accusing her of…

Great video, but who applies lipstick by twisting the bullet all the way up so that if you apply too much pressure it’ll break at the base… Please don’t do that lipstick wearers. You’ll regret it.

It would’ve been nice if Harper’s would’ve used beauty editors of varying races/ethnicities (if such a thing exists at Harper’s Bazaar….), so a wider demographic of women could see if these shades would work for them.

Excellent point. I would like to see more tests performed by different people, just to see how it will work for different races/ethinicities/skin tones. I guess I will have to wait for the youtube beauty gurus to post their reviews.

Ok….yeah…that chick who said the thing about the eyeshadow swatches…ur right…and the lipstick all the way up and applying…ur right…but I lime her seems like a nice gal…id call it technical difficulties… So closer up shots…swatch thing…and maybe pull hair back show ur eyes more… And ur very pretty…remind me of Joey dechenel..

I really wanted to like this video but it was all over the place and hard to watch. Is this a first impression, a swatch video, an intro to a newly released collection, an ad, a tutorial, a review??? Yes and no but only for some products? I liked Jenna but maybe there should have been a director to keep things a bit more organized. And for the fiftieth time, don’t blow on the brush like an 8 year old making a wish on a dandelion.

It’s an ad. An un-disclosed one, at that. =/ Gotta love how SO many keep getting away with not being transparent (which is required by YT, Google AND the FTC; clearly stated too) with consumers. That a video, post or comments is sponsored in some (or any!) way.. affiliated/codes/commision… received FREE products /early. Esp when that means they are not being real with the very ones they should be MOST loyal to & honest with. (ya know, those watching…. potentially buying…. subscribing to… supporting/paying.. etc) All for a sale, $$$ =/ Be well

Wish we could’ve seen all the products swatched. We only got to see products the reviewer chose, and watched the rest sit abandoned. Hard to decide what your personal favorite from the line is when you can’t see how it applies.

Would’ve loved to see all the colors side by side on the arm in a swatch and then introduced by shade name. Could be done in 3 minutes tops. Show swatches already on arm, go down the line and state the shade name as well as type of finish.
So many shades to choose from. But how can one possibly know how they look on the skin VS in color selections online? Just my personal idea ❤️

    2. Jenna Rosenstein

Liz Eclectic oh I happen to totally agree! We only had a finite amount of time to film and there are honestly so many products, the video would have been soooo unbearably long. If there is anything you’re dying to see swatched LMK and I can do it on my Insta stories today! I still have everything at my desk at work. 💓
