    This was painful to watch.
She’s a model whose VERY used to having her make up applied, why is she acting like she’s just arrived from another planet?
Her brows were perfectly groomed, nails are manicured, professional hair cut … but she doesn’t know about make up, 😂😂😂.
And then, to add insult to injury, she tried to apply the lip gloss in a way that (she obviously thought) a beginner would!
    Weird and cringy.

Why would you skip the foundation and powder part?! Many women need guidance in picking out the formula that’s best for mature skin as well as how to apply powder without killing the glow.

Older skin, and I don’t mean younger than 65, cannot wear powder. Powder settles into wrinkles and makes them stand out more. The subject does appear to be a model. I’d rather see a video where the subject is not a model and applies products herself.

@Natural Kinky Curly―Marie thank you for saying that! Some people being critical perhaps, if I dare say, are being hypocritical. No one here is wearing makeup? Doing their hair nice? Choosing proper stylish clothing?

What’s wrong with looking fresh-faced & youthful; unless it’s being forced on someone who has obviously been Ravished by time? Joan is actually a very youthful looking person and gorgeous. She would never look right being treated as an old woman.

You can have Wisdom, Confidence and experience while looking fresh-faced & youthful. _Youth doesn’t equate to Naivety & immaturity._ Mature women with great Genes wear youth very well and shouldn’t be ashamed of it because of what Older-looking women their age may say.

Chatoyancify I hear you – it’s so ridiculous that we value the superficial, whether instinctually driven or not – but it will only change when women are on equal footing and in more positions of power. I appreciate makeup as art, too, but find that day to day use for myself is based on the practical: Enhance the things I like and keep my skin as healthy as can be. That, for me, is aging well.

I am 48 and love being me right now..don’t want to look younger, just healthy. This woman is so naturally beautiful but this whole message is straight out of the 1950s…get with the times, Bobbi Brown!! Also, she comes across almost as simple-minded with that fake fascination at the most basic of make up tips and I am sure she is an intelligent woman…stop dumbing women down. Fail!

There’s just something about this video that’s makes me cringe. She is so beautiful and groomed, has she never hear about this basic makeup tips before?🙄 I expect more of you as a brand than to deliver this biased type of tutorial

      @Melissa Huff
With her hair style and the clothes she’s wearing, I guarantee you it’s not her first experience with beauty products!
I don’t know why they feel the need to lie about it though… 🙄

How many times did she use the words ‘young’ and ‘younger’? How insulting. Older is wiser, and being older and wiser is worth celebrating, not disguising. I’m interested in looking my best, not looking ‘younger’.

So great to see a more mature model with a lovely aged skin transforms vs. the youngsters that look “older” (to me) after applying makeup that they dont even need. Please give us more tutorials for mature ladies.

Gorgeous model – cracks me up how she acts so surprised about each step of make up like she has never experienced it or seen herself in makeup before !!! Come on! How gullible do you all think we are !!!

Balcon Frances That’s not neccessarily true. When it comes to the neck it’s all down to the platysma muscle, the only muscle in the body to which the skin is attached. In some women that sheath of muscle stays taut and smooth until quite an advanced age (i.e. Audrey Hepburn) while in others it splits, cords and sags (i.e Candice Bergen). It’s all down to genetics. As for this lady being in her early fifties? Crikey. I hope not. She has fabulous bones which helps keep the facial skin drawn taut but the looseness of her eyelids says early to mid sixties at least.

    3. Hipatia de Alejandría

They use a white hair model to give the impression of old age, but her eyes and neck look fairly defined. Either she is in her very early 50 or she s had a facelift, .and some fillers too.

Why do you have to “look younger?” What’s wrong with the natural process of growing old? We all eventually die, it’s actually a beautiful thing as you get older you stop worrying about childish selfish things of vanity and focus on what legacy you’ll leave your loved ones

    1. Leena Cw

What is wrong with someone wanting the outside to reflect how one feels on the inside? Curious as to how that makes one childish or selfish. How about, as women, we support each other with things that make us content as individuals.

  8. Laura Dean

How is it a beautiful mature woman who looks like a model is sitting with a Bobbi Brown artist seeming to know NOTHING about makeup? Sudden interest at 50ish? The child like awe is not believable.
Omg see her poses at the end? I rest my case. Model.
