These may work for your eyes, but extreme hoods like mine (only a tiny sliver of the mobile lid is visible) don’t really apply. 🙁
Watch Stephanie Lange…she is good
Thanks. Yeah I’m subscribed to Alissa Ashley but her eyes are still good to work with. My hoods are starting to hang over my eyelid and sometimes they’re swollen. It’s not extreme or anything (yet😭) but I haven’t seen any YouTubers with my kind of hoods.
+Ava S. Alissa Ashley, Vintage or Tacky, I’ve got hooded lids… I mostly find mine by searching for hooded lid tutorials and then weeding out the ones with too much lid.
are there any YouTubers with real hooded eyes? I can’t find any
the girl in the video doesnt even have hooded eyes. these probably wont work for hooded eyes
no offense but your eyes are barely hooded
@Marion Caffroy Well said. There are varying amounts of hooded eyes! Some more severe than others. She deffo has hooded. Very pretty btw and her eyes are sooo beautiful. Love the hair too.
RIGHT?!
Has anyone else lost what these comments are about?!!!
exactly
They are millions of type of hooded eyes , I have the same ones and I struggle with eye shadow . Pardon my english cause I m french 🙂
anyone with hooded eyes knows that if you can smidge your eyeliner with a brush, by the end of the day you’ll have a second black line above your crease. The only eyeliner that works on hooded eyes is liquid liner because it’s the only one that does smudge proof
Yup
I have eyelid ptosis which means my lids are all weird so I need to apply makeup differently to each eye in order for them to look more similar. I find these tips super helpful and since I have one eye that is heavily hooded, I find that using a primer (any primer at all) and a thin eyeliner, it won’t transfer a budge.
Thank you. She’s not able relate with we who have hooded eyes, and have had no work done, and are age 56…………
Gina Lombardo I agree! What is all of this weird obsession about hooded eyes? It’s just eye set and shape! I don’t see anyone going on about “fixing” mongoloid eyes.
Non transferable gel liner works for me. I stopped using liquid in my 20s. Tacky.
As someone who has always hated their hooded eyes this is such an amazing help, thank you so much! 🙂
that awkward moment when she’s not even hooded
Yes she is.. she has partly hooded eyes! Her lid folds over in the crease!
Aika Reyes these are hooded.. I have similar eyes n they don’t look quite hooded but when u have to put on eyeliner or eyeshadow then u realize..
Gina Lombardo
any links to a tutorial for hooded eyes as mine are really bad
Tis a bot guys, automated programme
Aika Reyes she’s somewhere between hooded n round
You could at least make an effort on the “don’t” side so we could see the actual difference that the shimmer and thick liner have. This is just tidy vs slabbed on and not an actual comparison. The “don’t” eye is barely blended and the eyeliner is so clunky, srsly…
FlyingMonkies325 holy guacamole you’re out there lol. She literally was just complaining about the lack of effort on the other eye lol. It’s harsh and hardly blended and i don’t know how hooded your guy’s eyes are but i can’t put any eyeliner on at all so you just wear nice falsies. 🤷🏻♀️
No… she did it right it’s just you that doesn’t know what happens when you do that to hooded eyes, putting black eyeliner all across the top eye thickly takes up almost the entire room of your eyelid covering any eyeshadow you just put on nicely… then putting black liner all way across yoyr bottom waterline thickly makes your eyes look closed and swollen, putting shimmer cream eyeshadow just on the eyelid makes the eyeshadow transfer past your crease because it’s touching the eyelid since it’s a deeper fold, it drags the eye down making it look more closed again and just looks very unfinished and plane.
Finally putting bigger fake eyelashes on such small eyes is a big no no because it covers the eyelid when you have your eyes fully open and again makes your eye look more closed. Ether you don’t have hooded eyes or you just don’t understand how much harder it is to put eyeshadow on, liner and other stuff onto small eyes, and since it’s your brow bone that is bigger you can’t go as dramatic as people with bigger eyes ether because your higher eyebrow bones makes your features look stronger, especially if you have more boyish features, so you should go with a more subtle look rather than trying to do eyeshadow from tutoriels with girls with bigger eyes and continuing to faiil miserebly because it doesn’t look right… of course it doesn’t… and it’s never going to… nor can you do as much with the eyeshadow ether. I can fully relate to this video with having the same shape eyes as her and i also have more boyish features so a little is a lot lol, i will look like a drag queen if i do it and it will look awful.
Lol! I know I was wondering why the right side lost all sense of trying too
I’m so tired of seeing makeup tutorials for hooded eyes made by people who don’t have hooded eyes. That’s like making a video about maintaining curly hair when you don’t have curly hair…
Saruca she has hooded eyes. Just because they aren’t as heavy of yours doesn’t mean hers aren’t. Go find someone with eyes just as droopy as yours rather than putting dense comments. It makes you look brainless and ignorant af. You’re dismissed.
you guys do know that there are different levels of “droopiness” when it comes to hooded eyes right? Not all people with hooded eyes have the skin completely covering their lid. Some of you are going batshit crazy over how her eyes are “barely” hooded, but my lovey’s they are hooded if you know her hooded eyes don’t match yours save yourself the agitation and find another YouTube channel…believe it or not it’s that easy.
Preach 🙌🏼
@Missy L. and if it was make up for dark skin and her skin was honey coloured would you complain or just click over to all the other people pretending to have dark skin when really it’s just a light tan?
ummm no not really because I’ve never seen a youtube video with someone who actually has hooded eyes – if you saw a video about a hook nose and the chick’s nose barely curved at all would you also defend her? what if it was a video for dark skin and the chick had light honey coloured skin? yeah then you’d complain right.
@Melinda Mercier they aren’t hooded…. they are slightly downturned and almond shaped. If your eyes look like hers, you don’t have hooded lids.
@Melinda Mercier Also monolid means there isn’t a crease…….
Obviously the ‘dont’ side is going to look terrible, you just slopped everything on there yet on the ‘do’ side you were so precise and careful to make it look super good.
FlyingMonkies325 oh god you again
Never mind that it was orange/rust… Who uses that?
No… it shows how bad it DOES look by trying to do that with cream shimmery shadows 🙂 and if you put only that shadow on your eyelid it’s then going to transder over your crease giving it a very harsh line, alhough it looks fine with a nice chocolate brown. Then what she’s trying to say is putting eyeliner on THAT thick on the top of your eye takes up most of the space of your eyelid thus covering all that nice eyeshaedow you just done, then if your put thick liner across the bottom water line it makes your eyes look bruised and closed. I honestly don’t reccomend false lashes at all to be honest though… especially if you already have longer lashes, i would opt for extra black, buildable or eye opening mascara, Miss Sporty is a good yet cheap brand, i have extra black and eye opening mascara from them. Another DO NOT is smudging 1 color of eye shadow all across the bottom of the eye, again makes your eye look bruised and closed.
Brooke Festa well said!
Instead of saying “don’t use shimmers in your crease.” And then slap the shimmer on, you should have said “don’t use shimmers in your crease, also, make sure you aren’t blending your colours this particular way.”
If that even makes sense.
All of these videos on ‘hooded eyes’ are barely hooded or not hooded at all. Can’t find any video that’s actually helpful for my eyes!!!
See the video of Smitha deepak she really has hooded eyes and she also mentions it !! “If you have hooded eyes like mine “…….
I know I’m late to the party but BrittneyNicole (I think that’s how she spells it but I could be wrong) has alot of tutorials focused on hooded eyes. They have helped me tremendously!
I find a lot of these people posting hooded eye tutorials really don’t have very hooded eyes at all, if they do it is usually very mild. Mine is horrid. You would wonder if I had eye lids at all.
løcal dreamer watch Alissa Ashley. Is is awesome. She ha hooded eyes and she is very helpful
Stephanie Lange has hooded eyes and she’s a great makeup artist. She does looks for hooded eyes that work for every eye shape, too.
I’ve never seen anyone do their makeup like she did on the “bad” side. I mean, she didn’t even blend or anything and did a sloppy liner. It’s not a true comparison.
Lol it looks better than when I try to do my eyes but I’m a beginner sooo
You should come watch me do make-up then lol. She did a great job of showing better ways to use shimmer eye shadows.
I have one eye hooded and the other one is not. It is sooo hard to do my eye makeup sometimes, so that´s why most of the times I won´t bother and just use mascara!
yeah i have one very hooded and one slightly hooded that really looks mostly fine although as I’m getting older the crease is more noticeable on both sides. Maybe the primer idea is all i need so that a little touch of shadow stays on the crease – anyone had success with that?
I have the same problem. One is very extreme.😭
w/ mascara my eye,the droopy side looks much more uneven that it depresses me sometimes ugh.i’ve tried the tape thing and thicker eye liner nah it didn’t work
Me too!
@Rhythmic Roja Hey there! Thank you. Is not such big deal, maybe I sounded a little too dramatic, haha. I´m ok I guess with my eyes looking a bit different and I try to do best with what I have and yes there is a ton of useful tutorials here on youtube!
1. you don’t even have hooded eyes at all
2. liquid liner is the one and only liner that works for most of the people with hooded eyes bc it dont smudge.
sry if this sounded mean but..
i have very hooded eyes so i know what im talking about.
anyone agree?
I have hooded eyes and when I do a wing it doesn’t show at all
exactly 🙂
I agree I have hooded eyes as well I would look like I’m all banged up if I did it her way.
you know when you click on a video tutorial on how to do eye make up for hooded eyes and ur just completely baffed throughout the whole video because the woman…doesn’t…have…hooded…eyes lol…
dyolk okay hers are less hooded then mine lol. her eyes aren’t’t hooded your right. im wrong 😧
dyolk she kinda does. mine or like hers. they are hooded its just not an intense hood like others. maybe she should use a name like “half hooded eye” or “makeup for semi hooded eye” idk lol
@Rosario Colon that’s such a ?? definition. my eyes and hers are completely different shapes, they shouldn’t be categorized as the same thing. If it’s partial, call it partial in the title.
To have a hooded eye, you just need to have a fold that is not naturally where your eye socket is…which is exactly what she has. She has partially hooded eyes just like i do and this helped me 🙂
This is a guy saying this not a girl… lol i think a troll… what would a guy want with make up unless he’s trans? or just loves make up? but i don’t think it’s that, he’s some kind of chinese guy (so it looks), but it shouldn’t take me just to his YTube page ether but to his Google+ page, which means it’s another darn hacker and probs a bot too. Want to bet if i block the YTube channel that it doesn’t block him? lol.
I agree with everyone else, the eyeliner made me lose faith in this video. Also if I put the colour right in my crease they would disappear. I have to make my crease higher to make anything noticeable. Also, shimmer on the lid can open up the eye, especially when it’s in the centre.
She was trying to explain that putting liner on like that makes the eye look more closed and swollen… she was also trying to say that putting only shimmer eyeshadow on then tranfers past the crease because you have a deep crease and a small eye so the crease is like on your eyelid… lol that is what she was saying…
Jenna Watson if you want shimmer try first putting a matte eyeshadow in the crease
And than putting a little bit of the shimmery eyeshadow
I have vera hodded eyes and i put shimmer wherever i want. But you have to first put a matte eyeshadow as a base in the crease (i usualy put 2 one on the whole crease (a lighter color) and the other a little bit above the crease (the one i really want as my crease colour) but be cerfull not to put it too high) and then for both the lid and the crease or only on the crease i put a shimmery or sparkly
Agree 😉
its different then monolid! I have a hooded eye and if i used shimmer just in the middle it accents the hood and transfers all over the lid
True comments:
“Her eyes aren’t hooded”
Fake comments:
“Oml this helped so much ily!”
FlyingMonkies325 that explains you
I think she’s just showing the steps that people with hodded eyes should follow.
Yep… i don’t think a lot of people still know that hackers have pretty much taken over the trolling buisness and most likely they are arguing with a bot programmed to respond with what they know you will respond with… it’s just obvious lol, they have sometimes tracked me to 2 other videos too and tracked my comment amongs the trillions of other comments and responded with something weird, they are obviously using hacks to do it. So since we have no clue who is real and who isn’t on YTube these days… i would reccomend people not argue with them.
I liked the makeup but… where the hell are your hooded eyes? Those are not hooded. Lol
Natalia Rangel Enríquez I am not trying to hate but I thought the same
I have MAJOR hooded eyes like can hardly see my eyelids at all and for me learning to do eyeshadow is so difficult because every YouTube says “for hooded eyes” but then their eyes aren’t hooded at all or hardly hooded
@Kyary4Ever Ohhh I see… Lmao some people don’t even know how to waste their time x)
FlyingMonkies325 Wth do you even mean… ?
I know you are a hacker and your profile is fake 😛
your eyes arent even hooded tf
she doesn’t even have hooded eyes what
you basically just doing a bad make up on the don’t side with no effort of blending or so whatever
